Meet Luke Hilton , a 25 year old, who works for his father Jamaican business as a mechanic and manager , following in his father’s s footsteps and helps out with fixing many different kinds of cars. He attended Universal Technical Institute,a technical school located in the Chester county of Pennsylvania. He studied in programs that taught Automotive and Diesel Technology . Also, the programs required manufacturer training on common car brand models such as Toyota, Ford , Cummins, and Peterbilt. Although, during the COVID-19 pandemic Luke, and the other employees continue to be in service, working hard doing what they are passionate about the most. Currently, he is here working on many kinds of cars all day from 8am – 5pm. Luke seems to secretly have a passion for being a mechanic although he denies it.
He says ” I was grown up around my father working as a mechanic since I was two.” Then when I asked him if he has any good experiences working here however, he replies, ” I enjoy helping others, especially since repairing their cars is always an efficient way of helping them , since everyone needs their fix once in a while.”
As seen in the photos below, he puts a lot of time and patience and good effort into repairs all day long.
At first when I stepped into this mechanic shop, I thought it would be like any other. But, no, this mechanic shop in particular is unique. The bond between the employees is amazing. They have each other’s backs like they are all family. Another fascinating awareness was how well they worked together and there is a close connection between all of them. However, what stood out to me the most in particular was when I saw a couple of grills and I was structured with confusion and curiosity. Then, when I looked over to the left side of me in the auto repair shop, it was aware to me that in the corner was a cooler, when seeing the employees going over to the cooler, I saw that inside were salmon. I enjoyed seeing how every worker including Luke’s father , would come in and take over helping out each other’s job. I could see the love shared between each other in this auto repair business.
